CHURCH YARD WORK: If you would be willing to help out with the church lawn please contact Mike Barber at 321-0551.

FELLOWSHIP DINNER: In June we began this dinner fellowship to help our church families become better acquainted with one another. Here is how it works: three or four families are matched up for three months at a time. On a rotating basis each family will host dinner (we suggest something simple) for the other two or three families at their home or make plans to meet at a restaurant on the second Sunday night of each month during that three month time period. After three months the groups change giving you the opportunity to become acquainted with a number of families in the church.

Valerie Bell is the director of this ministry. Groups will be changing in September. If you are interested in participating please contact Valerie at 619-9882.

Food Donations:Just a reminder throughout the year we are collecting food donations for families within our own church as well as for the Barnabas Center and Yulee Bapist Church food pantries. Please leave any food items you would like to donate in the church kitchen: non-parishable should be left on the island in the church kitchen and any freezable items may be placed in the freezers (please mark "food pantry"). For more information about this ministry contact Rob Durne.

SECRET SISTERS: Ladies, would you like to participate in "Secret Sisters?" It's a special way to bless another "sister" in the church by remembering her birthday, or just sending her a card, etc. from time to time plus just praying for her. If you would like participate please see Christy Burden for a registration form (she will be in the foyer at the end of the service).

FALL FESTIVAL : Friday, October 24, 7:00-9:00 p. m. Last year we were blessed to host over 250 people on our Fall Festival night of fun and fellowship! It's time to sign up for this all-church outreach ministry. We need help in the following areas:

  • Baking cakes for the Cake Walk
  • Supervising various game areas
  • Praying for the "Lord of the Harvest" to bless this ministry and use our church and people to reach the community with the good news of Jesus' saving grace

Sign-up sheets are on the table in the foyer. Donations of the following items are needed: cash (please put in the offering), bags of candy, and new or clean, gently used small toys. Please bring these items in as soon as possible. You may deposit them in the “Fall Festival” baskets which will be located in the foyer.

On the first Sunday in October, invitations will be available for you to invite friends and family to join us for another great Fall Festival.

ALABASTER LOVE OFFERING: Twice a year, during the months of September and February, we place our Alabaster Church in the foyer to recieve the Alabaster Love Offering.
This offering is received-denomination-wide. It is used to build mission buildings and purchase property for mission churches around the world. Eighty percent of the offering is used in world mission work areas and twenty percent is used for mission work in the United States.
If you do not have an Alabaster box please feel free to pick up one (by the Alabaster Church on the table in the foyer). The boxes are used throughout the year to collect loose change which is then "poured out" into the Alabaster Church.

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE: Ladies, we are interested in having a "Christmas Open House" fellowship on the first Saturday of December. If you live in the Jacksonville, Yulee or Fernandina Beach area and would be willing to be one of four "open houses" please contact Tammy Hutcheson.
